Dr. A. K. Gupta is associated, as an active worker, with Association for Prevention and Control of Rabies in India (APCRI) for last 20 years. At present he is the joint secretary of APCRI.
Dr. Gupta has established an Anti-Rabies Clinic at C-1/15, Rana Pratap Bagh, Delhi-110007. This is the only private Anti Rabies Clinic in Delhi. The clinic has all the facilities for treating an animal bite victim. Anti-Rabies Vaccines (ARVs) and Rabies Immunoglobulins (RIGs) are available 24x 7.
He is actively associated with Indian Public Health Association (IPHA).
He has been regularly writing articles on Rabies. He has presented various papers on Rabies at scientific conferences. He is actively engaged in CME programmes on rabies for medical, veterinary personnel and general public including school children.
His articles on Rabies are published, every Friday, in e-medinews, first national emedical newspaper of India (Website: www.ijcpgroup.com), in various medical newsletters, DOC N DOC magazine - the bestselling magazine for doctors.
He is author of Six books on Rabies (1) "RABIES - the worst death" (2) "FAQs on Rabies" (3) Understanding Rabies (4) Play Safe with Animals (5) Animal Exposures-20 Interesting Cases. (6) WAR - War Against Rabies. These books are available in Delhi Public Library also.
